Note: IF there is room in the battery bay you can always add a 2nd 12 volt battery, Some folks say all batteries be they in series or parallel should be Identical.. I'm not among them.

Though if you are putting batteries in series, as you do with six volt pairs, they do need to be identical, IN parallel this is not nearly as important.

So if there is room, you could "Drop" a pair of sixes in there next to that 12 volt and .. Well, best of all worlds.

NOTE: 2 six volt battreies in series = One BIG 12 volt battery (Size 8-D if I'm not mistaken) treat them as such and most all six volt questions are answered.

My old Group 8D 12v batteries each rated about the same amp hours as two 6v Golf Cart batteries.

It also weighed as much as two 6v batteries combined.....

I found the answer...the twin 6 volt battery is part of the "Freedom Package" with the upgraded 5.5kW Gen vs. the standard 4.0kW.

2013 Daybreak Motorhomes: A RV by Thor Motor Coach

The Freedom package includes 50Amp service and dual gas/elec water heater too.

"Freedom" must mean that this package allows you the freedom to doondock (w/ electric reserves from the twin 6Volt batteries) and to have full access at RV parks (50Amp and electric hot water). Interesting marketing plan.
