Seems like workcamping to close to a casino might be a problem for some.

Amazon needs to install a campground.

It would be interesting to hear from any IRV2 members who have actually done this. I've often thought something like this would be a good way to supplement income when retired.

I have some friends that are there now, I just forwarded the link to them. We'll see them next month in Florida.

When I first read this, my initial reaction was - those poor retired people having to slave away for paltry wages.

But the more I thought about it, it changed to "good for them". They are probably doing it more for something productive to do, a little pocket money, and the camaraderie with the other work-campers.

Friends of ours worked for Amazon last year. The work is physical with lots of walking, standing, bending, etc., and the hours are long. You will get lots of aches and pains, especially if you are a little older. The pay isn't great given the physical nature of the work, but you can earn as much in a month or two as you typically can in a whole summer of workamping at a campground due to the high number of hours per week at Amazon.
