I'm hooked.....went to get a price on tow bars and got looking at a 1997 Mountainaire 4080.

What can I do to stop the pain......it's got everything and the dealer wants $ 75,000

On the spartan chasiss,325 cumm.,one slide,no sat. antenna.

Anyone got time to give an opinion as to 1997 being a good/bad year, etc etc

Poor Canuck with itchy feet.

Basicly the coach should be ok if the previous owners kept it that way. If not being handy can fix her up. Your present coach is a good coach and you would know what has to be done. http://irv2.infopop.cc/images/smash.gif
The same can be said about chassis you could check NHTSA LINK to see if there were any problems with it and I'm sure someone will pop in here to add anything. http://irv2.infopop.cc/images/nod.gif
Good luck in your quest come and join us its a good group. http://irv2.infopop.cc/images/thumb.gif

assuming taken care of it should be good..I have 1998 Dutch Star on Spartan with one slide and 300 Cummins..love it and basically have had no problems for last 2 years as we bought used...this will be third year..we tow a 2000 Chrysler 300M with no problems...so would expect you can tow up to the 5,000# ( I think thats your limit) with no trouble..noticed you have a gasser..if its on an old P3 chassis you will be amazed at the handling difference..we had a 1994 Adventurer on the P3 with a tag at are still amazed and how much better the Spartan chassis is..
