have a 04 31 ft f450 class c

Check the chassis GVWR and GCWR and them weigh the rig loaded as for a normal trip.

GCWR - loaded RV = Max loaded trailer weight

GVWR - loaded RV = max trailer tongue weight.

When loaded and trailer hitched, you should not exceed the the RV's rear axle GAWR.

And if you are OK on these ratings, the maximum trailer is 5000# when loaded.

5000 lb max probably with 350 lb tongue. Longer class C usually frame extensions knock tongue down to 350.

do think l would have any problem towing a 14 ft tandam with atvs?thanks

Depends on weight of trailer.

There should be a label in the motorhome somewhere that tells you what the gcwr is. The gcwr i the max weight of the motor home and trailer combined, when fully loaded. In most cases, you will be less than 5000 if the motor home is fully loaded. Make sure you have a brake controller too!

I am in the same boat you are, 30' v10 e450... Plenty of pulling power although filling it up with gas hurts.. I pull a 4500# 4runner frequently (lately).. no probs, tongue weight is going to be your problem. mine is limited to 350, but I plan on reinforcing it with 2" square tubing Reinforcing frame rail extension and beefing up hitch on class C? - - SCCA Racing Discussions - Sports Car Club of America - Racing Discussion Forums - General Discussion - Towing Discussion sorry it's not IRV2, but still good info..
