Winegard Batwing Antenna Component
I have a Winegard Batwing antenna that does not receive TV signals. I have checked the amplifier and it is working, I also tried a brand new coax but still do not receive a signal. I have ordered a new head and hope that solves the problem. I do however have a question about one additional component. There is a plastic box about 1-1/2'" square that is mounted to one of the arms on the antenna. It has a cable coming through the roof and going into the box. I removed the 4 screws holding the cover and inside is a small can (electronic device, maybe a resistor or capacitor soldered too a small board).
My motorhome is a 2001 GBM Cruisemaster so I assume the antenna assembly is :thumb:original. When I look up parts list for newer versions there is no mention of this device, Can anyone tell me what this is and what it does?

Not exactly sure, but that thing attached to the arm may be the switch that activates a light or dinger if you start your ignition and the antenna has not been retracted.
