Insect Killer

When park at these RV parks, does anyone put out insect repellent around there rv's?

I have been known to sprinkle comet cleanser around my tires, Jack stands and connections.

If I am staying for more than a week I have used products like Home Defence spray around the perimeter of my coach.

And I do not connect my sewer hose unless I am ready to dump tanks.

If ants are present, we also use Comet around jacks, tires, water line, and electric cable. Keep all lines up off the ground. If you guy your awning, Comet around the tie downs also.

Ants

:banghead:Had an ant problem in Georga CG with black ants. We fought them all summer even after leaving the CG.:thumb: We now carry a insect defense gallon spray bottle with us. I never heard of using Comet but will give it a go.:)

I use a hand spreader to put Insecticide all over my winter long term spot before parking on it.
Just this last week I found a Fire Ant hill being built only 20' from front of the MH.
I took care of that in 2 days with spray bottle.

I check surrounding/MH area usually every 12 days when dumping black tank for any type of insect activity.

On summer trips use gal spray bottle Insecticide on water/sewer/electrical hoses and around tires on long stays.

Thanks on all the input and I will give the comet a go.

I have also used this on ant hills, works well, and as an aside, I fill a cheese shaker (big holes in cap) and use it for cleaning instead of chemical products, also great for cleaning the stainless flatware, a quick rub with a damp cloth, hot water rinse and dry... just like new, also works well on chrome!!

I use Borax or I&H washing soda, whichever is on sale (Leaves a nice aroma too!
(same thing different name...)

For indoor bugs I like KONK best. (should any dare enter! ;) )
