Hi folks! Just wanted to show off our new engineered hardwood and carpet by Ernie Ekberg. He did a great job. I just sweep everyday and everything stays cleaner. The coach feels more insulated and solid. Ernie is a quality craftsman and we are very pleased. :thumb:

I like that it isn't laminate which floats and requires moulding. Did Ernie glue or nail?

Looks awesome btw!

What flooring did you choose? Looks very nice. I like how open and airy it seems to be with the nasty carpet gone :)

Columbia White River Hickory
the material is almost 1/2 inch and engineered
hand scraped design hides any scratches that will appear

The floor looks fantastic. Was there carpet on the slide out too?

Ernie Ekberg 02-19-2014 06:27 AM

yes-only carpet left is on curved engine access, closet, and metal stepwell slide

Great job, Ernie. Audra I am glad you didn't make Bruce do it. It looks great. When are ya'll heading back to camp with us?

Great work Ernie. Makes me reconsider doing laminate in mine, I hate the look of the qtr round moulding everywhere. My only fear is finding out my slides scratch the wood and replacing planks of glued down floor is much harder then a laminate.

Definitely a project I will be taking on this summer!

Chris
