LOL, we had to replace the rear AC unit due to an ungodly noise it was making (non-warranty of course). <snippage> so, today I went to pick up the RV and find that the correct unit (non-heat pump) was actually installed (hoorah) but......the control system has to be changed and the supplier didn't ship those parts yet (boooo). OK, no big deal,I have one functioning AC unit and I'm happy.

Tech brings the RV up front so I can hook up the toad. Hmmm, what's that smell? Dayemn! Diesel is pooling under the engine! <snip> Turns out that the fuel line took this opportunity to split from old age I guess. So, a dark cloud turned out to have a silver lining. At least I wasn't in the middle of no where when it let go. (yes, I examined the line. looks like it just died of natural causes. the tech spliced it out while I was hooking up the toad.

Ya gotta luv them repair dudes! My 01 Dynasty is sitting at a repair shop as I type...dropped it off today, and can't wait to hear the estimate. The local dealer quoted me $1700 to replace the hyraulic pump....I took it to a shop 2 hours away (a diesel specialist) and at first glance thinks it is only a leaking gasket.
I have my fingers crossed...but your right...if it ain't one thing, it's another http://irv2.infopop.cc/images/sign0082.gif

Dang Bama...how lucky can ya get!!!
by the way... the "bartender/aspiring actor" here at the hotel I am at is from Birmingham Alabama. I did mention your town and he said "Nasa" ...I said "yep"

Hope everyone does enjoy their holiday also!!

Make that BeerTender's day, push the button for "Sweet Home Alabama" on the juke box. "In BirminHam the luv the Govnah".......

Uhhhh, I guess in this day and age, maybe you can have the tune downloaded onto his Ipod since Juke Boxes are almost obsolete. http://irv2.infopop.cc/groupee_commo...icon_smile.gif

"One thang after 'nother"...

Yeah, I know what you mean. Happened to notice the PressurePro is telling me the right-front tire is 2 pounds low on air. Jeez, I hate when things fall apart like that.

By the way, I've ignoring all the other stuff going on and concentrating on things like this. Makes me feel better when I can fix 'em. (makes for more frequent excuses to celebrate with a cold-one too!)

ronboc 07-02-2007 04:33 AM

'Mama

What did you just say??!!!! "HOTEL"? http://irv2.infopop.cc/images/scared.gif http://irv2.infopop.cc/groupee_commo...s/icon_eek.gif What's up with THAT?

You go and wash your mouth out right now, young lady!

You kids got too many hi-tech gadgets! Next thing I know, you'll be gittin' them 'lektrick blankets fer yer bed!

That is a nice gadget though. If you could just get the auto-inflate system to go along with it like mine, you'd really be in high cotton (explanation on this term only upon request. bet some of you know what it means already). http://irv2.infopop.cc/groupee_commo...icon_smile.gif

I saw one of those last month at the Factory. Spent quite a bit of time trying to figure it out at first.

Seems like a really neat-o idea, the tires are plumbed to a rotary fitting, which goes to a flex-line, and it went to the on-board pump (which I'm guessing at this point here). Sure would save on dragging the fill-hose around at times.

How much/fast will it fill a tire? I'm assuming it would keep up with a slow-leak, but how big will it handle? Does it come from the engine-pump?

"High-cotton"? I'm there, dude, I love phrase-ology. With all the windshield-time of late, I've had plenty of extra moments to contemplate some of the finer phrases in our language (especially billboards). Amazing sometimes to see what is being advertised or said and then to compare that to the 'literal' words as written. "SLOW MEN WORKING" is probably my favorite.

LOL, I would like to get one made up for the front of our building. Talk about the Truth in Advertising Act!!!n :-)

Golly-
Do all "Rons" have the same sense of humor?
I swear I am listening to mine!

ronboc 07-03-2007 10:18 AM

Actually, 'Mama, us 'Rons' often wonder why other people don't have our a sense of humor.

The rear unit must be one special piece of machinery. Total bill was $1237! They had to replace the controls and all that contributed an additional $300 or so. Sure is nice and quiet now though. The new control panel is nice. No greasy finger prints on it........yet! http://irv2.infopop.cc/groupee_commo.../icon_wink.gif

MonacoMama 07-05-2007 05:43 AM

Bama...Glad to hear the new AC is quiet...better to sleep by!
...You need to promise to wash your hands for at least the first month before you touch that unit! http://irv2.infopop.cc/images/wink.gif
