5 Star Tuner ?

I have a 2015 Itasca Sunstar, powered by the gas V10. If I get the RV tuner, can I still use regular octane gas?
Thanks,
Larryjeans

Yes, you use the same octane gas. The only thing the 5 Star Tune does for RVs is to change the transmission shift points so it doesn't drop down two gears every time you come to an overpass.
I had one on my first coach, Allegro 36LA, and liked it. It will not give your coach more power and I did not see any improvement in milge. Still, if I had another gas coach I'd get a 5 Star just to reduce the annoying gear changes.

Wrong.:nonono:
It does more than change the shift points! I wish people who don't know the true facts not respond with false information.
To the OP...call Mike @ 5startuners. I have 2 of his tunes on my V-10s.

Five Star is the number one tuner for Fords that tow or MH. The tunes are conservative so as not to endanger the engine/transmission but provide noticeable driving improvements. I've run 5-Star on my F150 Ecoboost and my reaction was "this is how it should drive from the factory." You can get 87, 89, 91 and/or 93 octane P/T (performance/towing) tunes so you can run whatever grade gas you prefer. I ran the 87 P/T with 91/93 octane as recommended for towing by my owner manual.

SkisMugs, if I am correct, isn't there just one tuning option for the V10 RV?
Thanks

You may be right. There are several for the Ecoboost because it makes use of whatever octane you put in it and makes 20 more HP on premium over 87.
But if the V10 RV is only designed for 87, then you'd be throwing money away on premium.
