I enjoy the old magazines and seeing the evolution of products, especially vehicles/RVs.

Thanks for sharing.

This is from 1958. I don't believe I have ever seen one but I have seen modern equivalents.

That tent triggers memories for me.

My Dad and I slept in a "small tent" mounted on top of our 1954 Ford in a plywood box that he assembled. (The ladies slept in another tent on the ground.)

Not the most comfortable housing idea, as I remember. It only lasted for one month long trip.

The first picture is cool..running water..

I have never seen one of these hitches.

I wonder how we survived..

One of the biggest complaints I hear about new RVs is the poor fit and finish and sloppy workmanship. One would assume that this was due to rushing the product out the door, selling on price point or companies not really caring. One thing I have learned from reading these magazines that folks had the same issues with American cars built in the 40s, 50s and 60s..if fact, if you include leaking, it is always in the top 3.

Anyway, a few more pictures of the past.

Great pictures grassy. I like the Coleman carrying case camp table.

My family had that Coleman cooler and the Coleman gas stove. Brings back memories, that's for sure!
