I've been retired for almost 5 years, fortunate to take that step at 55. The odd thing is that I'm busier than ever.

Busy, yes, but busy with only the things I choose to be busy with. Life is GRAND!

Enjoy your new life...congratulations!

Rick & Mic

I send my most hearty congratulations to both of you! http://irv2.infopop.cc/images/rock.gif As you can tell by my sig, I'm envious.

Congratulations Rick and Mick,
It felt like it took me forever to get to retirement at age 52. http://irv2.infopop.cc/groupee_commo.../icon_wink.gif But now that it's here....it still felt like it took forever!! http://irv2.infopop.cc/images/jestera.gif

Drifter 01-05-2008 08:29 AM

Congratulations to all on the retirement. I'm sure that it was well deserved after many hard years of hard work.
Here's something that I do to keep in touch with the people back my old workplace. I have my DW take pictures of me sleeping at different places that go and I send them, saying wish you were here. Or if there is alot of snow I call in to tell them that I can't make it in. That most of the time brings silence on the other end of the phone.

abray 01-05-2008 09:14 AM

Congrats, soon you will wonder "How did I have time to work"

bsavage 01-05-2008 04:13 PM
