Flashing wrench. Change motor oil

We are new to RVing. Purchased a 2015 Allegro Breeze with 8500 miles. Traveling from PA to Southern Florida. Flashing wrench and change motor oil warning Appeared. Supposedly the motor oil was changed when we purchased it from a dealer. Our odometer now reads just south of 11,000. How frequently must the motor oil be changed? Can This wait til we get back to Southern Florida?

I don't know specifically about the Breeze, but if it's like other vehicles.....they may have changed the oil, but forgot (or didn't know how), to reset the oil life reminder.

Check the oil dipstick, is the oil filthy dirty black, or nice and clean?

Yes it can wait to get back to Florida. Just make sure you are not low on oil. The warning light is to remind you it is time to change the oil. Your owner's manual should tell you how to reset the warning light. On mine with the engine off and the ignition on I press the accelerator pedal three times to reset the oil change reminder after I have changed th oil.

Oil level adequate. Oil looks dirty. Don't think oil has ever been changed. Thanks for the response.

Since you appear to be new to diesels, the oil will almost always look black, even right after an oil change. Usual oil change intervals vary by engine. I believe the Navistars are 7500 miles, Cummins are 15,000 miles, and Mercedes (3 L engine) is 20,000 miles. Check your documentation.
