Thought about that, but my understanding is mounting to bat wing will place it too close to the internal antenna located near the passenger seat.

I'll bet my antenna's are no more than 6 feet apart and I've never had any issues. I will sometimes move the internal antenna from the cabinet it lives in (with the cellular adapter) to the dash but I've never tried to get them as far apart as possible. If that were the case I'd probably have to re-think where I have all my electronics stored (cabinet above the passenger seat)
