As I had written in a previous post, I developed a leak in one of my slides.

Spoke with Damon and they will look at it at the factory.

My question is has anyone been there in Elkardt, and if you had something repaired was it done fairly quickly or a long drawn out repair?

I know its hard to determine how olong it will take, before they actually look at it, but just trying to get an idea.
Thanks, Sue

Why would you drive your MH all the way to ind. when there are several damon dealers in upstate N.Y. (unless your in the area). Sometimes with a driving rain and the coach possibly not level the water will have a chance to enter. The art of sealing these slideouts is not rocket science. They use very simple weather stripping. Before I drove it to ind. I would have someone local take a look at it. Good luck with it!

Thanks Angelman...
I did forget to mention the last few times we extended the slide out, it didn't go as smoothly as in the past. So we are concerned about that too. Sort of jerking motions last foot or so.
However seems to retract smoothly.

And since we have a 2007, which is out of warranty this July thought we would like the factory to be responsible for fixing it.

Which place have you been to upstate NY?

There is a dealership in Lakeland, NJ too, but have heard horror stories about how long some dealerships take to complete a repair.
And if any parts are needed they will have them at the factory.

Besides my SIL just moved to Ind. http://irv2.infopop.cc/groupee_commo.../icon_wink.gif

But thanks for your input...and I'd like to know about the NY dealership for future reference.

Sumar,

If it is Scott Motorcoach in Lakewood...I'd stay away, FAR AWAY!
