I've asked before for comparisons between Sani-Con and Sewer Solutions and got great posts - even with photos. I still haven't bought one.

Now, I'm reading a CW catalog and see a "Flowjet portable RV waste pump" ($225) and a "Flowjet macerator pump" for $143. What's the difference? And why are they so much less than the Sani-Conn unit?

I'm looking for a unit that will let me pump uphill (gentle slope) and about 50'-65'to a clean out at my son's home.

Thanks for your help!

Well, in general, you can buy just the pump and you do all the plumbing. Or you can buy the pump and some type of plumbing/hose outfit that offers immediate portable use for more money!

I buy just the pump but have it semi-permanently installed so I can use the normal slinky method, or the macerator depending on which valves I open/close.

Would you happen to have photos of your set up? I'd love to see it.

Thanks for the clarification.

I used, in general, the system shown here http://www.phrannie.org/phredex.html

Look at item 3

Thanks, Ed. What a complete set of info!? One interesting item is that when I saved the file on both Mac Pages and MS Word, the diagrams did not transfer. I did bookmark the web site so I can get back to it. Great info source!
