Any help Grand Junction v/s Silverback
Hey looking to buy a 5th wheel. Have kinda narrowed it down to a 30 ft rear living Grand Junction, and a 33 ft rear living Silverback. Any one have any opinion good or bad on these. Like the idea of the exterior construction of the Silverback, but the interior seems lacking. The interior of the Grand Junction looks great but it is a laminet siding unit. Has anyone ever heard of the sides de-laminating, just wondering.

Thanks in advance for the info guys and gals.

No comments on the Grand Junction. As for the Cedar Creek, my 2005 has been flawless except for the routine maintenance items that always need to be done to any RV. I believe that if you look closely you will find that Forest River includes a lot of items as standard that many others want to tag on as options. While not a "top of the line" unit it is a durable quality unit that will give you many years of good service.

Grand Junction is the luxury level of Colorado 5ers, all a division of Dutchmen > Thor RV Products. Our 05, 35TMS model has served us well since April 05. There were a few water leaks at purchase, which were located by using the Sealtech Manufacturing Inc. - RV leaks bubbles recreational vehicles method, then sealed. De-lamination is caused by water intrusion. It is very important to closely inspect every roof seam and the roof covering at least annually, regardless of RV mfgr.

Oh don't say water leak. My families first RV had a leak from they day we got it. And the dealer we got it from told us it was a little damp when we got it from a window left open. Now this was back in the late 70's early 80's but we never got the dealer to do anything about it. We never did get it fully stoped.

If you have the SealTek system I linked- used, it will identify any leaks with soap bubbles from the solution the RV technician sprayed all over the RV exterior. One of the leaks in our "new" GJ it located, was over 14' from where water was discovered inside.
