Good Sam ERS or Coach Net ERS
Getting ready to put an emergency road service on the coach before our first trip. I'm wanting to know which one gives better results. I don't need to hear about all the good or bad experiences but you can post if you would like. I'm sure they both have some pluses and minuses.

From what I have found the Good Sam is $109.95 and Coach-Net is $129.50. I'm not worried about the price difference, just the end results.

Also if there is another company out there that offers better protection or services let me know.

May be a dumb question but,why not just get roadside coverage thru you insurance company? We have only ever had 1 issue in 30 years and all I needed was a tow with a MH we used to have.

Most insurance companies provide roadside service, but many of them are limited to $250 per incident. It costs five hundred or more to tow a large motorhome.

Not a dumb question woody and I'll ask my agent.

Looks like I might get better results there to, 26 views and 1 vote.

I have both at one time or another and currently have Coach Net and am very happy with them.

I dropped Good Sam as Coach Net came with my rv when I bought it and have been with them ever since. I do believe they use the same group of tow operators. One thing I like about Coach Net is that you can call them and get a techician to talk to and maybe can fix the problem your self.

Either one I guess is good however Good Sam is owned by the Affinity gruop and Coach Net is not.

Good luck choosing!:thumb::thumb::thumb:

Here is another Coach-Net vote (vote 2). For class A's they are the best bet. Watch out for the insurance companies. DW and I were in Coastal RV on US-1 in Cocoa, FL a little over a year ago. I couple came in and was trying to get Coastal to pay for their tow, $600. I pretty sure it was GEICO they had for coverage, but they had to pay and then submit the claim for reimbursement. Tow company would only take cash. Cocoa FL is not exactly off the beaten path. We had it happen with Good Sam on a lockout up in the 1000 Islands region of NY, we had to pay first and file a claim.

Coach-Net here too. We've never had to use them on our RV but they've been very prompt with a couple of lockouts on the cars. We try to stay away from Good Sam for anything. Once you sign up they totally bury you with mailings for everything imaginable.

Perhaps someone here can enlighten me on the following.

I'm under the impression that when you call Good Sam ERS on their phone number, that it actually rings into Coach Net. It may or may not be the same person answering the phone but your assistance is co-ordinated by the same people.

I have Coach Net but have not had to use it.

I don't care for Good Sam or anything associated with the Affinity Group.

Interesting:eek:. Care to tell us why? I also have Coach Net and have had good service from them but I have GS CSP, which is why I asked.

Well it is getting better, 9 votes with a 102 views. I take it the non voters run down the road without any type of protection. I feel pretty confident with the coach but the additional "insurance" would make it a little easier if a problem does arise.

Since posting this poll I have read elsewhere that Good Sam is or already has filed for bankruptcy. Looks like I am going to go with the majority and use Coach-Net.

Coach Net ! :thumb:
Very good customer service as far as I'm concerned, and when you have problems they have been very prompt in their response!
I just renewed my membership!

I don't like the way the Affinity Group conducts business.
