I see broken drive lines due to thrust direction changes unsuitable for a land based vehicle. The intertia of the tires/rollers doesn't lend it's self to water craft operation.

Poor advice^^^. A good warm up is cheap insurance, or at least be easy on the throttle until temp is up to normal. Diesels rattle and bang due to serious forces within.

I got a MD3060 set @ 6 speeds in my Wanderlodge. Have one with a retarder too, doesn't fit in my FC due to interferance with the front axle. Retarder assy. will add about 6" to the length of a MD.
