That sounds like a good route for us. The wife will be happy not having a lot of winding road. She is good with a bit but doesn't like a lot of mountain driving.

We went up the 5 last July, man was I surprised it was terrible. It was worse then driving the roads in Mexico. (nice to see our tax dollars at work)
