On the underside of your coach there should be a...
On the underside of your coach there should be a drain with a valve to turn it on and off. That's the low point drain. Different from the fresh water overflow because it can be turned on and off.

You mean the pump never turns off or it takes longer than normal to prime and turn off? It's normal for the pump to take a few seconds longer on battery power, but it shouldn't be more than 5 or 10...

Much easier to use a hole cutter with a center bit. The Camco vent kit is cheap and includes some sealing tape along with the louvered vent. Finish with rv non-sag sealer.
