This is correct, he stated the fan is running but not cooling is what I read. If it’s a Dometic it’s a single capacitor with both fan and compressor with a common terminal.

I can’t see why it wouldn’t work, you would have to disconnect the reversing valve wire from the stat. Remember that stat also controls your propane furnace.
