I had the same switch burn itself open. It was a factory install, after 8 years of daily use. I believe the switch is not capable of that much amperage. My new water heater does not have the switch.

Been using the standard hose compartment on 2 newmars for 20 years. Bayonet fits fine. I use a 20 foot hose. I compress the hose to fit compartment. Wear vinyl gloves. No problems.

I have used this ,you hook it in the propane line. Shut off your main tank and run on the 2nd tank. Keep an eye on your 2nd tank.I never had luck filling a small BBQ tank with this set-up.

I don't run in cruise control on inclines or hills.My manual states to use cruise control on level only. Much easier to control RPM's manually.
