i set an appointment with an allison approved shop to replace the seal next week. about 3 hr labor plus parts.
(now i thought i might have hijacked this thread......

well, maybe i was wrong. since it was used for so little mileage, i was thinking to use a 10 micro filter to get it through, it would be just as good as new. now thought twice, does not worth it....

just called an experienced truck transmission shop. for my case, there is no need to pull trans. looks like a relatively small job. i'll get this done soon.
