After thinking for a moment after my last post electric would certainly make sense when you don’t have the Diesel button active.

If that’s the case then why would they have the electric at all. May be worth a call to Aquahot to understand how it’s supposed to work. Not on together all of the time just doesn’t make sense to me....

While I understand my unit is older mine will not kick on if I have both on unless the electric cannot keep up, such as a shower.

Are you sure that your electric heat is working. If you turn off the Diesel side and run the water until it’s cold then wait 1/2 hour is it hot?
