I'll probably always suspect that your ECU has been changed to a later one by a previous owner. Ones from a 1990 are perhaps hard to get easily....

I did read down, and I don't see where it says it has an E4OD. I see that it says an automatic transmission with overdrive, which could be either an E4OD, or it could be a C6 with a Gear Vendors...

I'd be very surprised if you had a 3 digit error code on a 1990. Presumably you were counting light flashes. Try it again, assuming you're getting 2 digit codes, or you could get an Equus 3145 for...
