Infant seats always face the rear of the vehicle, they are oriented as such by default, hence the requirement to mount them in forward facing seats

How am I supposed to open this?

I have been unscrewing this fuse and disconnecting the battery cables but my wife is convinced I'm doing it wrong. Either way why would they install it so the spin cap doesn't function?

We use the comfybumpy rails from Amazon with the little feet mounting option. The kids body weight will hold it down but it also comes with screws and straps if you need additional peace of mind.
