Sheet Metal Screws

They're expensive to get replaced. I repaired mine using 1/2" pan head sheet metal screws and just screwed into side of door, where the bracket was.

Lug Wrench

After removing the screws, I gently used a lug wrench, on a 2 X 4 on edge, gently & gradually going all around the edges. I did not damage the gasket.

08 & 04 vue pull the same fuse. I made up a jumper using the "add-a-fuse" plug set-up. Have a switch in series with fuse, and just have to flip it, when I hook up. Very quick & easy.
