Bedroom Rug need replacement, HELP!

I looking to remove the bedroom rugs in my 2009 holiday rambler scepter PDQ.
Has anyone installed wood floors in bedroom and drivers side slide. Who did you use?

Good question, I was thinking of my next trip to Oregon. Have Elite RV accomplish. But let's see your responses.

Engineered wood works best. If you do your slide, you will have to extend the slide to cover the slope on the main floor with a piece of plywood and then use a stair nose wood trim

We are getting ready to replace all of our carpet. We have narrowed it down to either a product called Smart Core ( made by US Floors for Lowes) and and a solid
Vinyl like Allure. The Smart Core is and engineered vinyl.
Both are water proof and click together planks.
We have a raised slide in the living room and because both products are thinner than the carpet we see no reason to install any sort of trim for the slide to ride up on.
We have been told by others it only needs to be slid under the slide far enough so the edge doesn't show.

Are we missing something ??

If any of you guys are near the Dallas Ft Worth area I would suggest using Ernie Ekberg. I have seen his work and it is very good. He is located in Weatherford, TX about 40 miles west of Ft Worth.

I put 3/8 thick engineered wood floors in my 2002 windsor i glued them down no problem with the slides clearing the wood the hardest part was removing the carpet because the cabinets are on top of the carpet.

Dave and LJ's in Woodland Wa removed all our carpet front to back and put in all new floor in our Windsor and did a great job of it!
Plus they removed the front slide and did it right, I like that.
And they did it for about 1/2 them boys at Elite told us it would cost.

you can install flooring "right" by NOT removing the slide, unless you are flush with cash

Looks like it is unanimous replace the carpet with wood. We did two months after getting the RV. Not only in the bedroom, but under the dinette also. Removed the hideabed and replaced it with a wood floor and two Flexsteel Rocker Swivel Recliner. Now I fall asleep watching TV when the commercial comes on.

We drove from Idaho to Texas to have Ernie do our floor in our Bounder. So happy we did. It is gorgeous and done right. Looks like right from the factory (maybe better). He knows how to do slides right.

Spent about 5K there. The rig sustained damage during the install which they denied doing. Their QC slips at times. Seeing one of the items we ordered sitting on the dirty floor (couch cushions) was not thrilling either.

I saw a slide removed there and they did it right too, it was torn off when an employee drove the coach out of the shop with a slide out.

Can't recommend them, at all, but at 1/2 price compared to "them boys at Elite" I bet it was worth it.............

All I can speak too is our experience at Dave and LJs and our floor is perfect. That's all I look for is results, what it cost was just a bonus.
When I saw what Elite did, and tried to fix on our coach the one time I was there, we'll let's just say they will never see another dollar from my pocket.
Sounds like this Erie fellow does a great job also.
I guess I should have added that we replaced all the sub floor under the slide, back to the bathroom because of a previous water leak.

Really some competition sounds like you are happy with the work. Any other work completed by them?
