Fleetwood and Holiday Rambler.
It is kinda interesting that I found the Fleetwood Excursion 33D and the Holiday Rambler Navigator XE 33D are exact 100% copy of each other down to the floor plan, appliance, cabinet contour, same interior and exterior storage capacity, etc. you could almost see inch for inch they are the same but from the different manufacturer. One different that I found was the Fleetwood uses the Alison 2100 tranny while the HR uses the Alison 2500 tranny. It almost like both manufacturer bought an exact copy of the floor plan from the same designer.
The question is, do Fleetwood and HR have any relationship? I thought that HR is part of the Monaco group.
Having that said, would one could comment about the quality of these coaches?

Fleetwood, HR, Monaco, American Coach - Those are the coaches all manufactured by REV RV Group.
So yes, they are related as of a couple of years ago. They are not all the same. I would assume there is something different about the floor plans you considered. Example: Excursion probably has contact paper for the cabinet faces even if doors are wood. HR is probably wood facing. That would be just one thing. They would look the same but would age differently. Chassis is usually different as well... HR should be able to carry more on it weight wise, but don't quote me.

Thank for the comment that clarified my curiosity, I did not know that. Between Fleetwood and HR, which would your preferred brand as far as quality, reliability, and customer services?
Even though they came from the same family, but they may operate and be managed independently, therefore for their product overall may be different too.

They are built in the same plant, by the same people and the share customer service, parts department and service center. They may have differences in trim, woodwork and various components.

I took the factory tour last August, they are built on the same line by the same people. Other than trim and color I couldn't see any difference, I purchased a holiday rambler vacationer which is a fleetwood bounder from front to back, I looked at both long and hard and right down to the money they are the same.

From all accounts their customer tech services and parts people are top notch. REV Group is building or buying locations for stand alone service centers in a number of locations around the country.

REV now ARG (Allied Recreation Group) came to the Monaco pre-rally before the FMCA rally a few months ago. Not only are these being built in the same plant but they go down the same assembly line. What's really bad is the Navigator will reappear as an entry coach, bottom of the line, later this year.

What I am really looking for is an entry level DP with 26,000lbs or less and less than 35 feet.
Having that said, bottom of the line here is still much better than other brand like Thor Palazzo and Winnebago Forza, wouldn't you think?

Wow .... ARG has REALLY screwed with the Holiday Rambler model line
Navigator used to be the top of the line model. 45', 600+ hp, all the bells and whistles, and a price tag to go with it! Now it's the cheapest DP in the lineup !
Feel sorry for the guy trying to sell his immaculate few yr old Navigator, and fielding calls from looky-loo's asking him why he's asking so much, when they saw a newer model than his in R.V Trader, going for $125,000!

Unfortunately for me there are no immediate plans for a factory service center in the Southeast. I ask about the Snow Bird traffic and the large number of coaches going to and from Florida. I was told they would look at that for a future service site. I was hoping they'd buy back the old service center in Wildwood, FL now called Alliance Coach.

There is no better wood work when comparing the two coaches. They come down the line side by side and when you are comparing the same model between fleetwood and HR there is no difference in quality.

I had a number of interactions with customer facing people at REV/FW. So far very happy. Any schematics I ask for are delivered almost within hours.
I had a problem with the dealer (not REV/FW) and turned to REV/FW customer service for assistance. They stepped in and assisted. They addressed my concerns and even put what they said on the phone in writing. I didn't even ask for that and have to admit that impressed me. This situation was related to warranty work and an ending warranty period. Basically they said if the dealer did not fix anything to my satisfaction to simply document it and let REV know. They will honor the warranty repair even after the warranty is up. Warranty work at the factory service centers is top notch. You can read all over this forum and see positive comments.
The quality will most likely not be what you want directly out of the factory when it is new. This is unfortunately expected from most RV manufacturers and certainly not only REV/FW. You can know with confidence REV/FW will stand behind their product better than most (at least in my opinion) and fix quality issues.

So--I think I am due for another dumb question. Do these centers repair only REV/ARG/... or will they work on other Manufacturers' coaches? Are they an authorized repair center for any non-REV brand?
