2005 Holiday Rambler Navigator Roof issues

Looking very seriously at the coach listed in the title, and was wondering if its normal for the fiberglass roof to be wavy and buckled in places? It looks to be intact and there doesn't seem to be any water damage or leaks, but where its buckled up in places is annoying and I'm wondering if its anything to worry about - as a side note, when looking at the same aged Country Coach 470, its roof was very similar in the buckling and waviness department. Any help would be appreciated.

The roof on our '06 Dynasty has actually sagged a bit at the front heat pump location, and somewhat less at the middle heat pump location. I contacted (with pictures) both R&R in western Oregon, and Monaco Tech, and both said what I was seeing was not uncommon. Both indicated that I should be diligent about checking the condition of the gasket around the heat pumps and watching for any evidence of leakage, but that there should not be any issues from the settling. Didn't seem right to me, but both stood to make good money off of me if I came in for repairs. So I'm going to trust them and just watch it from now on.

The roof is a very long one piece of fiberglass. Our coach is somewhat wavy but has never caused any problems. A dark roof would be worse than a light roof. I would not let that stop me from buying it. Better to worry about age of tires and condition of batteries.

If the coach has a 60 series Detroit Diesel engine better snap it up. Bulletproof.

Thanks for the replies and its what I was suspecting but was just trying to get a little confirmation regarding the issue. I'll probably replace the a/c covers as they look worse than the wavy roof but are a quick fix for aesthetics purposes. Additionally - they are supposed to be replacing the coach batteries as they look a little rough; it has 8 brand new Toyo tires, and the Detroit Series 60 has just 69k miles - we're just waiting on them to fix the oil pressure gauge at the dash - they say its a bad gauge, but everything I've been reading says its the sending unit. So once they figure it out, we'll test drive and close the deal.

Catchin Rays Did you get the Navigator? Wanted to chime in, our roof has a couple of waves in it, don't think I have ever seen a Monaco that didn't.

We have an 06 Navigstor with the same issue. Never had a leak but we do check it regularly. We have the Cummins engine. I hope it works out for you. We absolutely love our Navigator and find it to be far superior to newer coaches that cost s lot more.

Well, it has taken forever for the deal to get done mainly because its taken forever for the dealer to get the coach ready, checked out, and problems fixed before it was even ready for us to inspect and evaluate. But after 4 weeks and 5 weekends of going up there, doing research, and inspections....I think we are finally closing the deal this week. We've told them we'll take it, and are set to close the deal and pick it up this Saturday - Cashier's checks are being printed today - so we'll see. Thanks for all the feedback.

Congratulations! You're gonna love it! Once you have it to your liking, the enjoyment of driving it and staying in it will have been worth the wait! Solid built coach.
