Mystery door?

On the right side of my '08 HR Neptune XL there is what appears to be a door leading to possibly under floor storage. It is just forward of rear tires. It is hinged on the forward edge but no handle on rear edge to open.
Any ideas as to what is behind it? Why it won't open, etc?

Look under the bottom of the door for catches. I have three doors with no handles but can release catches under the doors

I doubt it is storage. If it was it would have a regular handle to open it

On our diplomat, it is hinged on the rear,
but to get it off takes one of those 'four sided square' ?Robertson screwdriver? to back out the screws holding the front...

never had it off yet to look, but someone previously has because they rounded out the gap a bit...

My 07 neptune is the same. If you look in the gap on the back side you will see the angle brackets. There's one at the top and one at the bottom. Each one has a screw in it. The square head screw that's all over these motorhomes. Remove those 2 screws and the door opens just like the other doors.

Once inside you'll see all 3 holding tanks. If like mine you'll see the side of the water heater. Gives good access to the WH. You'll also see the black tank flush going into the black tank. Also a slew of wires.

I ordered from Monaco 2 of the locks like on your fuel filter and hydraulic pump door. The locks that use the old coke machine round lock. I installed them in the door in place of the two screws so I can easily open the door. Also, I used a 5" square vinyl fence post to make a sleeve to hold my folding ladder and mounted it in there as well. Frees up storage space not having the ladder in the regular storage compartment.

Chad's got it. I found the screws and angle brackets in the rear gap. They're quite rusted in. Once I get them out I'm sure I'll find the tanks. Mystery solved. Thanks all.

Hmm,

Mysterious door?
Have to bend over to check it out? NO WAY!
I'll just go to iRV2 and ask there.
