Can anyone tell me how to remove the AM/FM/CD radio from the dash of the 2006 37.5 foot Holiday Rambler Vacationer ?
Thank you

GJAMES-
Can you tell us what model radio you are trying to remove? If it's similar to the one in our 2008 HR (Magnadyne M9900CDS), it comes out with a couple of bent-wire "tools" inserted through four holes in the radio face, on the right and left sides.

This is the same procedure that I used for my 2008 Endeavor, same radio. However, mine was stuck in there pretty good and ended up unscrewing the entire panel and pulling away so I can get to the rear of the radio to push it out. Hope this helps.

I ended up taking out the small panel that holds the radio and removed it that way. If yours is a larger panel it may be more difficult but doable. I've taken my large panel off to get behind the dash, you have to be careful to keep from breaking it.

Adding to this... those four wire tool things each push a tab towards the center of the radio. If you have four skinny screwdrivers (or ???) you can accomplish the same thing.

Yes that's the radio.
Where did you get those tools?

I ordered my replacement stereo from Crutchfield and specified the old radio. They then included the tools to get the old radio out and wiring harness, adapters, etc. to put the new radio in.

Harbor Freight carries a kit that includes those.

I had to pull mine last week. It was very stuck. The U-shaped tools didn't work. I got four small screwdrivers, and eventually got it out with them (they are stiffer than the U-shaped tools). It took some up and down and side-to-side rocking to get the radio free from the metal sleeve that holds it to the dash.

Would a stiff metal clothes hangar work? I want to replace that oem radio so badly.

Yes works really well. Just file each end down a little. Not to a needle point, just so it isn't square on the ends.
