1976 Holiday Rambler Help/question

I recently purchased this 1976 Holiday Rambler. I am going to clean up and redo the camper before summer.

It has an older suspension and I was wondering if anyone knows anything about it? This is my first camper remodel and want to make sure the suspension is 100% before moving forward. It pulls very nice but being it is so old want to add all new.

anyone have any information about were to buy new shocks and any other input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Josh

Probably better built than the new ones. All around. Clean it and grease it, check brakes and wiring.

My folks had a 1976 HR 5th wheel. Built like a BSH. They towed it all over the US, Canada, and even into Mexico. Never had an issue.
As far as suspension goes, what they had then was similar to what they have now. Perhaps not interchangeable parts, but similar. Replace the wheel bearings. Put new brakes on it. New springs would probably be in order. Of course new bushings and equalizers. I'd suggest a rubber type equalizer and a wet bolt kit. If it has the original brake wiring I'd replace that.
And like was already said, it's probably in better shape than some stuff on the dealer's lot.

Peplace your shackle bolts with the bronze bushings with zerk fittings. The plastic bushings are cheap and wear through quickly.
