Thermostat on 1998 Holiday Rambler

We own a 1998 holiday rambler endeavor. The thermostat will not cause the back air conditioning unit in the bedroom to come on. Any help will be appreciated.

Are you able to get to "zone 2" and set the mode (cool) and temp.?

Does that mean when you press the "Zone" button nothing happens? The small numbers on bottom should be flashing depending on what zone you choose.

On ours, you have to push in on the top 2 buttons at the same time to switch between "zones".

Zone 1 = front AC
Zone 2 = rear AC

Older thermostats have 4 buttons and change zones via pressing the top two buttons as ahicks described. The switches have a tendency not to work after setting for awhile. The 4 button thermostats are no longer available but the switches can easily be replaced with good soldering skills. If you need switches I will dig up the part number I used on my Windsor thermostat.

We had a similar problem. This thermostat can be used for a single zone and a 2 zone system. You have to tell the system which one you have. Turn off the thermostat, hold the top 2 buttons in, and while holding them in turn the thermostat on. We found that by doing this, you are telling the thermostat that you have a 2 zone system.

Try resetting your AC control, here is the procedure for the 5 buton or 4 buton.

For 5 button reset:

SYSTEM RESET
1. Turn the ON/OFF switch to OFF position.
2. Simultaneously depress and hold the MODE and ZONE push-buttons while turning the ON/OFF switch to ON. FF should appear in the LCD display until the MODE and ZONE push-buttons are released.
3. When a dip switch in the system control board is turned ON or OFF after initial configuration, a system reset will need to be done before the Comfort Control Center will recognize the updated selection. See figure 11.

For 4 button reset:

a. Turn the ON/OFF switch to ON. The display light with
data should come on. If the light and data are not there,
see Section B2 Cable Assembly.
b. Depress mode to activate display light.
c. Depress the bottom two buttons (up & down) together.
d. While still holding the two buttons add the third from the
bottom (mode) , hold all three for a few seconds.
e. Release the third (mode) button.
f. Release the bottom two (up & down) together.
g. Depress the mode button. The display light should be
off. If not, repeat steps 2 through 6.
The control should return to the default setting of 68oF for
heating mode and 72oF for cooling mode.
