New old Holiday Rambler owner
Well after camping in a StarCraft Star Flyer popup since my father bought it new in 1995, today I bought my first 5th wheel. Its a 1988 30 ft Holiday Rambler Alumalite XL. I pulled it 160 miles home with no issues. From the papers I got with the camper, it was bought in Colorado new, has been registered in Oklahoma and Arizona, not sure after that but it was traded in at a dealer in Maryland this spring, sold to a family in Southern WV who lost their home to a fire in June, and then sold to me in western WV today. Would love to know where all this trailer has been. I have some work ahead of me as some of the fiberglass on the front and rear needs a couple of holes fixed, the left landing gear jack drop tube sticks, the bottom metal has a couple holes, and all the odds and ends with a new old camper but I'm so excited to spend more time camping with the family and less time setting up and taking down. All aluminum construction, a well sealed roof, and NO water damage make this 5th wheel worth putting some work into. We gave 3k for it, but think it will last a long time if maintained. This trailer has the belly insulation, ac, and HEAT which we have never had before so we are really excited to extend our season. I'm sure I'll have questions and hope to be helpful as well, I have reframed and sealed the popup we have 2 times. So excited to have a new camper to mess with and looking forward to talking with everyone here

So where are the pics? Might as well sale the popup as you won't be using it anymore. LOL

I never had a 5th wheel but so many love them. I hear they are much easier to tow and back up than a regular trailer of same size. Congratulation and good luck with it!
