Good evening all....Just joined the forum and I am the proud owner of a new 2016 Holiday Rambler Vacationer 33ct. I have owned more motorhomes and other recreational vehicles in my life than I would care to admit and would like to offer the following:

1. Having owned gas motorhomes made by Tiffin, Newmar & Winnebago I can assure you that the "build quality" of this coach is on par with the three brands I have mentioned. As a matter of fact, we had more problems with the Tiffin Allegro 31SA than the others combined.

2. All motorhomes will have issues. Much of this depends on the dealer and the treatment the coach receives prior to delivery to the buyer. For example, there is an RV dealer in Tampa that allows everyone in town to tour every RV on the lot, unescorted. This is cool but just realize that if you buy a new motorhome off this dealer's lot, it will be used.

3. My Holiday Rambler is, in fact, made by the same company that makes Fleetwood. My motorhome is essentially a Fleetwood Bounder 33c.

4. At PDI, I had 6 items needing repair on my HR....With the Tiffin (and I am not bashing) I had 20. My Newmar Baystar had numerous issues with the A/C system and it was never fixed to my satisfaction. The Winnebago had adjustment issues with the interior cabinets and flimsy luggage bay doors.....the refrigerator failed in the first week....issues with the exterior paint.....you get it. Look at the motorhome you intend to buy VERY carefully.

5. Please don't get offended by this, but I don't believe anyone who says they have NEVER had problems with their motorhome. All of them have issues. Bob Tiffin is a nice guy, but I would rather not have to drive back to the factory because someone forgot to put the right holes in the right place for the couch seat belts. Make sure you local dealer can handle most issues that are beyond your area of expertise.

Anyway, the wife and I are happy with this purchase so far and will let everyone know if any issues arise that are out of the ordinary. I hope , if you pick the HR 33ct, you will be as happy as we are!

I am glad to see your post and Happy to hear from someone that has owned other brands of motorhomes and now has a Holiday Rambler and feels good about it. I truly have had the best luck with mine, I have over 12000 miles on it since August 2015 and have had not one issue with it. It is my first motorhome and first rv of any kind in my life and when i first got on this forum and started reading about all the issues people are having I felt that I had made a Hugh mistake getting into this. The start of this journey has so far been wonderful and much more enjoyable than I ever thought it would be. I know that eventually I will have issues but to date I have not had any, I am leaving the first week of April for a six week trip to the Florida keys and Hilton Head island, hopefully things will keep going the way they are going.

I think we are going to be OK. Two trips for us so far and everything works as advertised. I think there are a lot of people out there who might not be aware of the fact that the HR brand was bought by the REV Group. They also make Fleetwood. The way you use and maintain your motorhome and the way it was treated at the dealership before you got it will play a role in all of this. Wave as you go by us on the way to the Keys. We will be headed up to Williamsburg and then to Asheville in May.

The 33ct is the floorplan we like also, was wondering if after spending time in it you have found the L sofa comfortable, that's one of the features we really like but you don't really know how it will work out until you use it for an extended period such as you have.

We had an Allegro 31SA prior to this and the floor plan featured a sofa bed and recliner. The sofa was not very comfortable for us. That Allegro model can also be purchased with an L shape sofa but we thought the couch/recliner would be better. Oh well, live and learn. The L shape sofa in the HR works better for us and is comfortable. The material is softer than the sofa in the previous Allegro. Our grandkids will let us know about the bed though. The sofa bed in the Allegro was OK but, when deployed, only left us about 4-6 inches of space to walk by. I'm not a small guy so I think the HR will be better when we have visitors, just not too sure about sleeping comfort yet.

We bought a Holiday Rambler Vacationer 35DK in January at the Tampa Show. We previously owned a Bounder Classic. Even though it is a foot shorter and has less counter space then the Bounder, we love the Vacationer. We have a couple of issues like every new unit but the overall finish and style is something we are very happy with.

The Vacationer is head and shoulders nicer then our Bounder Classic. We are very happy that we purchased it.
