Looking at 2600RB. Has one 15K air. They show heavy insulation in this unit. Wondering how well they cool when it's really hot? Unit is about 29' box maybe 25'. Thanks in advance.

I kinda like Gran Design but check out the Winnebago 27 RBDS. I like that trailer better. I would be wary of the Grand Design insulation claims.
If you are not boondocking the 15k A/C unit is good. But if boondocking a 13,500btu A/C unit is better because you can start and run it easier with a generator.

I've got 2 friends who each own a Grand Design Imagine TT. One is a full-timer and the other uses his during the spring and summer. Both are satisfied with the Grand Designs. As for myself, I'm green with envy.

Grand Design has great floor plans but they're built the same as almost everyone else out of Elkhart.

I have a 312 reflection and love it. In Texas I use both AC's!

Our 2250Rk is by far and away built better then 95% of anythign out there we've looked at over the years. it's our thhird and last trailer. the customer service is second to none.

The r-value in the roof they advertise is completely bogus. They use an r-13 fiberglass batt then add a top layer of radiant foil and now they have an r-40? That foil requires a large air space above it to get those numbers. Many other manufacturers do the exact same thing, but yet don’t advertise bogus numbers.
R-value is resistance through an object, not around, which batts fail miserably at.
The last I’ve seen on their trusses they are 4” tall in the center, but go down to maybe 2” on the ends, which compacts the batts, which reduces the resistance even further.
I do like their continuous AC duct system in the roof.
Being a 25’ box it’s right at the cusp of 2 AC’s. If I was buying that unit I would want 2. It’s always better having more cooling than what you need.

I have read in these forums that Grand Design is made no differently (maybe slightly better) than other Indiana TTs. But the real difference is in their excellent customer service from their dealers.

I want to thank everyone who posted here.

I am curious about your 2250RK. We like that plan also. How well does it tow and what hitch are you using if you don't mind me asking.

We tow with an older 1/2 ton ford and it tows just fine. We don't try and set land speed records so we have no issues. It's definitely the only imagine I'd tow with a 1/2ton. We tow using a Fastway E2 hitch with the 800lbs trunnion bars.. It's a 2020 so we've only used it a couple times this summer on vacation, but it was VERY comfortable.

I bought a 2018 Imagine 2600RB 2 years ago. I haven't camped in really hot temps yet, probably only once in the low 90`s, and the AC didn't have any issues keeping things comfortable. We mostly camp in wooded areas, so not sure how it would work out camping in direct sun.
