1988 Holiday Rambler Aluma-lite XL

About a month or so ago we sold the pop up and bought a 1988 HR Aluma lite XL 30 ft. Just took the radiator out - needed a new core. While it was apart I replaced alternator, starter, water pump, all hoses, thermostat, fluids so if anyone needs any help I'll tell you what I did. Still going over everything. A lot of work so far but between my neighbor and I we've been able to figure things out. Everything except where the OBD1 is and whether I have a class A or a class C. Any ideas? Thanks.

Can't help with the OBD connection but these pics should help sort out the Class question.

Class A = all in one box.


Class C = van cab with box attached.

Well that was easy Thanks Nick. My wife was saying class A but the nada guide was saying class C. Still looking for the ODB...

On the obd port, you might not have one. First is it a chevy or ford chassis? Is it fuel injected? Depending on those answers will determine if you even have an obd port and what it might look like. The earlier systems were not based on an industry standard but proprietary to the brand.

So which is it a class a or class c?

Class A Mike - all one piece. It is a chevy chassis with carburetor. I've looked everywhere! Thanks.

It won't have an ODB1. They didn't come on the scene until 1990s.

No OBD. Back in the day you had to be able to diagnose the trouble yourself. It paysoff now when a kid tells me one thing and I know thats WRONG.
