2010 Holiday Rambler with Ford Chassis

I am looking at purchasing this unit and have received the VIN from the seller. I checked the recall database from the link provided in this forum. It says that it is a 2008 chassis. Is there any concerns or bulletins I need to look into during the viewing. There is no open recalls on this chassis according the link. Will this chassis have the tow/haul mode?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Well I certainly would not be too concerned over the chassis year. I think it's normal for a chassis bought in late 08 to sit around in line long enough to take an early 10 year model designation.

Can't help you on the haul mode.

I have a 2011 model year Holiday Rambler with a 2008 F53 chassis. Yes it does have the tow/haul mode. Check the manufacture date of the tires-mine are 2007's. Here is a link to the 2008 F53 Chassis. Have fun!

Thank you for the info but I must be missing something. The purpose of checking the tire dates is for what? I see in the photo's the seller sent me there is michellins on it. Does yours have michellins? The link to the chassis didn't work for me as well. I am flying out Tuesday to go and see it. Already seems like a great adventure and my kids are getting very excited!

The big trick is the tires have a life span. Even if they look fantastic, there is a year limit on when they should be changed.

A blow out at speed is not even close to worth it over the cost of tires. If it zipper's or tread separates on you it "can" equal instant off the road.
