We have a 2000 HR Endeavor 38WDS. Picked it up in Georgia and drove home to Maryland; no problems at all.

Need your wonderful assistance. Looking at a 2003 Vacationer 36 ft. It's in a Chevy Workhorse cassis and a Chevy 8.1. Low miles asking price is 40k. Looking for those who have experience with HR and problems if any.

Thanks.

This rig apparently has spent a great deal of its life sitting unused or not moving much. I'd change out the fuel filters and check the fuel system for algae.

Best thing you can do is drive it and if it too has low hours - run the generator under a load for a couple of hours to get it purring smoothly.

I bought a 2002 Vacationer this past November. Its a Ford chassi with a Ford V10 with 48000 miles on it in excellent condition. Its been great so far we are on our 4th trip right now and had only 1 problem electrically. 40k seems way high we paid 24,500 for it and everyone says I got a great deal. I would try to get it for WAY less than 40k. Good Luck!!

We have a 1999 36' HR Endeavor LE V10 48000 miles. This is my second HR. Sold my 1989 Foretravel 36 Grand Villa for more of an updated coach. I could not get my wife to understand that an update could have been done on the Foretravel with the same money paid for the HR. Down fall was the bathroom in the Foretravel just too small. I like the room in the HR but going from a Foretravel to this has been harder then I thought. First the ride....F53 chassis is not the best IMHO so I have been doing the upgrades to try and make the ride better. New shocks, sway bar bushings and ride-rite air bags. Next the way it's built....not a Foretravel...and I know its like apples and oranges but after have the Foretravel for 6 years and doing full time living in it I am not sure the HR will hold up as well. But with all that said... my wife likes the HR and that's what counts. The HR has had upgraded hardwood flooring and ceramic tile in the bath. glass backsplachs all around the kitchen LED lighting through out the coach.Sat. system. I do all my own work and this saves me time and money. I do like the power of the V10 and so far no problems with anything. And the best thing is it's paid for. Maybe I would have gotten one with a bed room slide also. My wife asked me why I did not do that and I had that dumb look on my face....

We bought a 1995 37 foot 300 horsepower Cummins diesel that has 150000 miles on it. So far we have taken several trips with it and we are enjoying it immensely.

Hi everyone! My husband & I just bought a 1988 HR Aluma Lite XL 31' Class A - & can find absolutely nothing online about it! It does have the 35th Anniversary Edition (of what?) emblem by the door... Can't even find a picture that matches ours!

We have a copy of the manual, but it's very generic, covering several models. We're curious as to which ours is. Also curious as to how big the fresh water tank is.

We've not had a chance to use it yet, just replaced all 8 tires & had front brakes & one wheel bearing replaced. It had sat for 7 years, outside coated in green ick - but cleaned up very well!! No dents, original wheel covers/hubcaps, spare tire holder looks new! And interior *very nice* also! We tossed the original HR mattress & got a memory foam one - super comfy!

We've not figured out what the XL stands for yet either... We've just come from a Class C, so somebody tell me our Rambler isn't as 'tippy' as it seems! Plus, I've got to get used to feeling like I'm about looking down at the road from the front passenger seat....

But so far we totally love it!!! We have three big barkers, much more room than in a Class C!

I purchased my second HR late last year. It's a '03 Scepter 40PWD. It replaced the '01 Admiral 36WDD owned for 10 years.

Sadly, the newer rigs are built at a very fast pace and often the quality of the fit and finish isn't done properly or steps are left out such as sealing between the joints.

Component mfrs too are rushed to deliver in larger quantities to supply the RV mfrs needs to build more and faster. We've reached a new record here of late in RV production and sales. Unfortunately it comes at a price...poor workmanship.

Take yourself a trip to northern Indiana...around the Shipshewana area and experience for yourself the factory tours to see RVs being built. Some you'll never want to own and there are you few that you'll want to buy to replace what you have. Its an eye opener!
