Be aware that some of the 2011 or 2012 Endeavors may have been manufactured by Navistar and therefor will have a Navistar engine in it.

Hi Stretch, The one I missed out on at MHSRV in Texas had a 450 Cummins, but good point! I'll certainly watch for that! Thanks!

2011 Endeavour had the Cummins ISL, the 2012 and newer had the MF10

You might try the RV hop in Baton Rouge. They may be able to locate one for you. 2011's had Cummins, 2012 on up had the MaxForce.

Just offering my opinion here, as stated, just my opinion.
Thor may make some quality coaches, but would not be a line I would be looking at.
Price point on the Thor can be appealing. After that, not so much appealing.

I am a lot like you in the fact that when I decide something is going to happen, well stand back, its going to happen now.
This system has worked out at times, but many times I do look back and realize I was not as far down the learning curve as I should have been.
We were very lucky when we bought our monaco.
Good luck to you and your search!

Monaco Diplomat is the sister to the HR Endeavor (I think-you can always check) so you've now more than doubled your possibilities. I, too, would avoid the Navistar units as I don't like the looks and don't know much about the engines versus a Cummins. I third(?) the waste of space for a second bathroom. How much time can be spent with makeup? Don't answer that, there is always another bathroom around somewhere close by that's good enough for a male. Or you could start ruling with an iron fist like I do. In my fantasies.

BTW... DW found a 2011 Tuscany 42RQ with a nice floorplan, is there any difference in quality from HR & Thor?
We're at the Florida Super RV Show, trying to decide what brand and model. We have been impressed with HR through friends and liked the quality when we examined it up close and personal. we also examined the Tuscany. We were shocked at how nothing opened right, thought the varnished wood looked "cheap." The salesman brought in a Factory Rep to help our opinion. When I showed him all the flaws, he had no response except it shouldn't be like that! You'd think they would have made sure everything was smoothly working at this huge show. We will not consider a Thor although the floor plan was about perfect for us!

We're just starting to look for a HR. Please enlighten us about the Navistar. Wouldn't you know the one we found and like has this engine!

Don't be afraid of the Navistar MaxxForce 10 engine. Those of us that have them are not having any more issues than the Cummins owners. The larger MaxxForce engines did have issues but I don't think any of them made it into Motorhomes.

Purchased a 2005 HR SCEPTER last April 43k miles, great coach, no major issues, high quality, built before Monaco financial and quality issues. Look at coaches around this yr. for good value.
