I just bought an old 1986 Holiday Rambler Aluma Lite 31 foot. It is in well kept condition with every thing working except the water pump. The issue is there is no voltage at the pump to run it. The pump runs great if I bring 12volts to it. There is a remote switch located over the front door in in a control center. When the switch is flipped on a red light comes on but no pump.
The pump had turned on a couple of times the first day we had this trailer then it stopped. I have found a fuse that supplies this pump in a fuse panel under a bed, the fuse is good and 12 volts is present both in and out. The red light will go out if I pull this fuse so I know it is the correct fuse and it feeding the control panel OK. A 10 gauge wire from the fuse is purple going down through the floor and a 10 gauge blue wire is coming up through the floor at the pump. The wire leaving the little romote switch is red and it is only 18 gauge so it must be activating a relay somewhere to send voltage to the pump. I need to find this relay and have given hours to looking for it. wires can not be traced in this trailer as they all drop through the floor. I have talked to Holiday Rambler and thy say they have no drawings or knowledge on units built prior to 1992.
I am hoping that some one remembers this old trailer or has one similar to it and they may know where is the latching relay for the water pump located.

If you can't find it, you could wire in a new one between the fuse panel and the pump, putting the switch in a new location so you don't have to fish wire so far. Also, have you checked that the switch is sending 12v out when switched on? A lighted switch will have 3 wires, (+) in, (-) in, and the switched 12 v (+) out. Sometimes water pumps are wired to have full time 12 (+) and the switch is on the ground, so test to see if that's the case.

2002 holiday rambler. No power at water pump. Fuses good in panel. Red light @light in outside compartment come on.NO power in purple and black wire that goes to pump. Can anybody help me

If you have more than one switch to turn on your water pump, the switches are connected to a small circuit board that get the signal from either switch and allows current to flow to the pump. I think you'll need to find that circuit board and see if it's failed.
