1996 Holiday Rambler Imperial Diesel pusher Detroit / Allison on Ford frame I believe
Hi y'all. New to the forum and new to owning a motor home. Just a little about me before engulfing y'all in my lack of knowledge. Been wanting one forever but money and time kept getting in the way. Came across this baby and couldn't resist. Money was right, but time is still limited. I'm a semi driver who is away from home Monday thru Friday and sometimes Saturday. I do get a two week shutdown twice a year and have my wife's family in Florida, and mine in Western New York. I am in Indiana by the way. So here is at least two times a year we will be able to use it for more than the occasional weekend road trip/ camping trip.
Ok, so 1996. I'm finding a few small problems. And will ask a new one after finishing the current one. 1st: cruise control is not working. Buttons are located in steering wheel panel as well as wipers and city horn. Wipers work, city horn does not, but someone added one on the left side where a door would be. I have all manuals that came with the bus, but they certainly don't tell much. My thinking is to check the fuse first. There is a small fuse box at bottom of the center console but nothing marked Cruise. Anybody have any clue as to where else to look?
I have searched this site as well as Google and I am not coming up with any answers. Any and all help will be appreciated.

Welcome to the Forum. Can't help with the problem other than my former RV (an Endeavor) had a lot of fuses under a removable panel above the instrument cluster (the top of dash).

I think that you'll find a Cummins 8.3 engine and a Spartan chassis in your Imperial.

On my MH, there is a fuse for the cruise control in the box under the bed. Don't know if it is the same for your year.
I would also suggest that you should post this on the Monaco Owners forum where I'm sure you'll get some additional answers. There are many HR owners on that forum.

Your absolutely right. Not sure what I was thinking, but brought manuals with me on the road, so I had a chance to peak at them again. Thank you

Tried searching for Monaco Owners forum within this app, is it here or a different app/forum altogether?

Mine is a 1998. You will see that in my signature at the bottom of my post. If you click on "User CP" (top left), you can modify yours to include your info.

Hi Veraken, you say your was under the bed. In the engine compartment? I search everywhere, but not really sure what I'm looking for. I don't see a fuse box on firewall of engine compartment and I don't see any components that looks as if there is a fuse plugged into it.
I contacted Spartan, they sent me a wiring diagram, but to me it's like reading something in a foreign language. They say they don't have any schematics or drawings of where and what everything is in the chassis..... I thought that kinda strange. The tech couldn't tell me where it would be, suggested I call Cummins. Tried Cummins, but was on hold for over an hour, by then was at my next stop and had to hang up.

Under my bed, there is the engine hatch and another area in the front which is covered by a separate cover. If you lift that cover, you will find an additional fuse box.
