Description:

1995 Coachmen M19-RD 19' Class B motorhome / camper van for sale on a Ford heavy-duty E-250 chassis.

There are over 80 hi-res photos of this van taken on 4/21/19 available to view at:

https://www.flickr.com/photos/roger_h/sets/72157664443675440/

This is the very useful rear-dinette setup. The rear doors are usable for hauling bikes, or cargo such as plywood or sheet rock and the load can be carried down the center aisle. The dinette can be placed in the bed position with the cushions removed for a flat cargo area. The van has PS, PB, PW, tilt wheel, cruise control, dash and roof A/C, intermittent wipers, power driver's captain's seat, a swiveling passenger's seat (both with arms,) and a new Pioneer AM/FM/Bluetooth stereo with microphone for hands-free. Amenities include an external shower (no inside shower,) standard RV commode with seven gallon black tank, six gallon Atwood propane water heater, stove, microwave, propane furnace, and kitchen sink. There is a SINGLE bunk area over the cab (does NOT pull out) that makes for excellent storage. There is no mattress for that bunk. The jacknife couch makes into a north-south double bed, and the rear-dinette makes into an east-west 48” wide bed. There are seatbelts on both the north-south couch and the dinette seats. The van seats 7 with seatbelts. The 13,500 btu roof air unit works as designed and cools nicely on generator power. All of the window curtains are in good condition, and the van comes with the original windshield privacy curtain. The van has just been professionally detailed and is ready for your next adventure.

The GOOD:
I bought this van in 2015 with 26,000 miles. This B-van now has only 66,900 original miles on the injected 351 Windsor (5.8L)/E4OD engine/trans. The tires Bridgestone Dueler H/T 685s and are brand new with less than a hundred miles on them. I have complete service records on the van since I bought it. The original owner's manuals and paperwork as well as receipts for all service work and replacement parts will be provided with the sale of the van. A lube, oil, filter, and inspection was performed by my mechanic on 3/28/19 and the van is road-trip ready.

The van has been regularly serviced and has had Mobil One 5w-30 and either Haines or Wix premium oil filters installed since 2015. Again, I have the service records.

The Onan Micro-Lite 2800 generator has been serviced by Onan-Cummins and has a new carburetor, fuel pump, and the fuel line to the generator from the gas tank has been replaced. The generator was just serviced for the season and the oil changed with Mobil 1 5w-30. I exercise the generator monthly for two hours to keep it in operating condition as per Onan's recommendation.

The interior and upholstery is all in excellent condition. All the appliances work as designed. This is a solid van that delivers 13-14 mpg regularly on the road. See the photos for the actual condition.

I have JUST had the van professionally detailed.

The following is new since 2015:

Tires (Apr. '19)
New Group 27 Deep Cycle RV house battery (Apr. '19)
Propane regulator (Apr. '19)
Water Heater with winterizing bypass valves
Coach water system pump
Sink faucets
All interior lighting has LED bulbs
Brake lines
Brake Rotors and pads
ALL fluids flushed and refilled including transmission and brakes
Spark Plugs and Plug wires
Power steering pump and hoses
Transmission cooler lines
Serpentine belt
Ball joints
Front wheel bearings serviced
Helwig heavy-duty rear anti-sway bar installed
Shocks
The rear and side coach door locks have had the inside cables replaced.
New Reese Class III tow hitch with 4-pin wiring connector

The BAD:

The ABS system fault light comes on at random intervals. This means that the ABS brake system has stopped working and the braking reverts to standard braking. The system resets with an engine re-start. It's likely a sensor as is typical for the Ford ABS of this era. It's never bothered me enough to chase it down.

The window above the curb side doors has a small leak. It has apparently had a leak for many years. The leak seems to be dependent on the angle at which the van is parked, and is not significant, but over the years has damaged the interior panel board. Once again, it's never bothered me enough to chase it down. If you're taking the van to somewhere that has monsoon weather (Portland or Seattle) you'd probably want to pull the window out and figure out what's going on.

The interior 110v circuit breaker is weak and will intermittently pop under load on one of the two 110v outlets. A reset fixes the problem. Again this is an intermittent issue that would be fixed with a breaker replacement, but it hasn't happened often enough to warrant putting the time into finding a replacement breaker, at least not for me.

That's it for “The BAD” but full disclosure is important.

The UGLY:

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The teal paint and vinyl graphics on the van are sun-faded, but still look presentable. The right-rear fiberglass fender extension has a crack in it that looks like it was epoxied twenty years ago.

The TIRES:

I mentioned this earlier, but the tires JUST were replaced with $800 worth of LT225/75R16 Bridgestone DUELER H/T 685s and have just 40 miles on them driving them home from the shop.

The LEGAL STUFF:

I'm a private seller, not a dealer. This has been my van for the past four years and I've enjoyed it. I've tried to describe the van to the best of my ability. I'll be happy to discuss and answer any questions you may have, and I'll provide any other detail photos you may want. I don't like surprises after I buy an RV, and I don't want the buyer of my Coachmen to have any surprises either. This van is in great condition for a 24 year old van, and will give someone years and thousands of miles of service yet. That said, it is not new, and if you expect it to be in new condition, please look at new vans as this one won't be for you. If you want a low-mileage, well maintained van with service records for the past 40,000 miles that won't cost you $100,000 , this is the van to look at. Of course, there are no warranties expressed or implied. The van has a clear title, and I have the title in hand. This van is road-ready to take you on your next adventure. The van is sold where-is, as-is. It has been meticulously maintained for the past four years and forty thousand miles, and has all of the receipts to go with that service and repairs. It has new tires, a new house battery, and all of the appliances work as designed. This is a REALLY nice, well maintained van. I will most certainly entertain offers... but recognize that this van needs NOTHING to take you on your next adventure, so please understand that while I won't be offended, neither will I accept a low-ball offer.

I can be reached by text, phone, or email.
