Description: Pros: Nice campground with both shaded and full sun lots. Good spacing between lots. Nice State Park close to beautiful river town.
Cons: Bathhouses need updating and need a good scrubbing. Low hanging branches on roadways in park can hit high profile vehicles. Many lots need a resupply of gravel. Threaded water spigots only at bathhouses but not at the locations in the campground. Electric only like most state parks.

Pros: Nice State Park with good spacing
Cons: Campsites do not have water. You must fill at bath house.

Rates: $16-$25 per night. Pull throughs are more expensive. Great state park friendly staff. Enter through the south gate if you are over 40 feet with tag axle and towing anything. Thr north entrance has too many curves for me. Long hill at the south entrance but it is straighter than the north entrance.
The park is near the historic town of Madison, Indiana. This town is the largest National Landmark Historic District in the US. There are several small shops, wineries, and other things to see in the Historic District. I recommend Shipley's Tavern. It is an old town tavern with cold beer and the best hamburgers in town. They have a Facebook page.
