Pros: Gated; security patrols; quiet; beautiful views; full service; laundry; gym; pool; hot tub; BBQ areas; dog run; easy access; seasonal discounts; garbage service; all ages
Cons: can be expensive depending on when you stay

This is one of the best campgrounds I've stayed at. I enjoy it so much I have stayed here five times. Wild horses walk by, coyotes sound off some nights, and you have great views of the desert landscape as well as mountains. The Verde River is literally steps away.

It's about half hour from PHX Sky Harbor Airport, also about half hour from Scottsdale. It is just outside of Fountain Hills, so you are a 5-10 minute drive from Safeway. There is a gas station and convenience store less than half mile from the campground that has gas, diesel, and propane. There is also a casino and golf across 87 (less than a mile away).

They have a great fall special for bookings that check in October 1 check out January 1.
