Description:

This is a city park in Chetopa and sits on the banks of the Neosho River. The site are gravel, but level and the electrical has been recently upgraded to 50 Amp. the city also erected a new bath house recently and does a good job of maintaining the grounds. The police patrol several times a day. Along with campsites the park has a pavilion, playground, volley ball, ball-field, and a boat ramp. The dump station is not great but is available. For $15 a night you get a nice shaded spot with plenty of room between you and any neighbors. Although the 5 times we have stayed there I don't recall more than 3 other campers in the whole park. We stay there since it close to family, but it is a good option for anyone traveling east or west on US 166 or north and south on US 59.
