Description: This CG is located about 2 miles from exit 71 off of I57, in Southern Illinois. Contact number is 618-439-4860. Sugar Creek runs through the CG. There are wooded and clear sites. Let staff know, when you make your reservation if you need satellite TV. The pull through sites are really big rig friendly. A 45 FT coach with toad should have no problems in this CG. There are pull through and back in sites. There are about 13 50 AMP pull through sites. Maintenance is good the rest rooms and CG are clean. The CG has all the ammenities one would expect, pool, playground, horseshoes, propane sales, fish pond, laundry. There is a small store and rec room on site. The CG has free WIFI.

Pros: value priced, easy on/off Interstate, free WIFI, friendly/knowledgeable staff
Cons: some noise from Interstate

This review is based on a 7 night stay in Ocotber 2007. I paid the above mentioned price as a KOA Gold Card Memeber. The retail price is $31.50 for two people. The sites are gravel and grass. The sites are long and wide. Much larger than an average CG. The free WIFI actually works and is excellent. WalMart is located 2 miles away. A variety of eating places are within 2 miles. The water is city (not well water) supplied. For an overnight stay or a week or two this is a value priced and nice CG. I will stay here again.

Pros: friendly staff, clean very nice CG
Cons:

Our family is a novice at RVing and choose to jump in with both feet at this CG. Also not sure if my review will be helpful as I don't know what is the norm and what isn't. Also not sure I am adding anything that previous posters haven't, just more of an update I guess.

The staff was very friendly and knowledgable. The CG was very clean and quiet. They have a nice little general store if you don't feel like driving the 2 miles or so to go shoping. Also have a nice little rec room with a pool table. I have 7 childrena and the staff didn't flinch and even gave my children special attention. Very down home feeling, in my opinion.

We stayed in July 2010. We have a 34 foot RV w/out a toad, however we used a pull through site anyway and we did have to use our leveling jacks to get our fridge to work, for the spot we had, however other spots did look to be more level than ours. The wi-fi and cable worked great. Did not get to use the pool as we were rained out. We stayed 2 days.

We will definately stay here again.
