Description: Beautiful campground on your right as you go toward Portage Glacier. You can camp in the face of a glacier and mountain scene. You may see a moose walking down the campground road and you may run into black bears near the little stream. The stream has a bridge so that you can hike to the mountain and glacier near the campground. There are pit toilets, a dump station, and water is available.

Pros: Scenery - price - location - large sites - activities.
Cons: Dry hook up

Williwaw is a great campground. Large sites, both backin and pull thru, dry camping, amazing scenery and convenient. It does have potty rooms. It is a Forestry Campground meaning they honor Golden Age pass with $5.00 per night camping. Do not go there with soft side campers - - it does have some black bears that like food. When the salmon are running, you can walk 20' or less from some sites and fish. Good roads. Close to lots of scenery and things to do including a the Portage Valley animal compound, Whittier with the best Apple/caramel/walnut pie and baked halibut around. Glacier climbing is in walking distance of campground. Charter halibut fishing, glacier bay tour boat, hiking, campfire with smores - - what more do you want? Spent four weeks there in one summer it was so good.
