Description: I-40, just south of exit 233. About 70 sites. Almost all are pull through. About 35 have sewer. Restrooms/showers were near and clean. Discount tickets are available to see Meteor Crater. There are no other activities. There is a nice convenience store where one registers for the CG. It is well stocked.

Pros: level sites, free WIFI, value priced, clean & neat, well stocked store
Cons: In the middle of nowhere, extra for kids & 50 AMP

This review is based on a one night stay in July of 2009. The CG is neat and clean. It is well maintained. The only reason to stop here is to see Meteor Crater. For that reason I recommend the CG. Other that Meteor Crater, there is nothing (and I mean nothing) for 20 miles in any direction. The price paid was a Passport America price. The site was level with 50 AMP power but no sewer. For an overnight stop I recommend this CG. I will stay here again.

Pros: Easy access pull-throughs; very friendly staff
Cons: there can be wind

We have stayed here multiple times - the grounds/facilities have remained very good [and the original layout was great]. However, the staff has gone from good to excellent

Pros: Extremly clean and well maintained.
Cons: No Pool

We originally planned on a one night stand to get some sleep and do our laundry. The TV room adjacent to the laundry with free coffee and huge flat-screen was appreciated; and the staff excellent. We ended up staying for 2 more days.

Pros: Good location to Meteor Crater
Cons: None

Very nice campground with good facilities. Right outside Meteor Crater Park. Remnants of old route 66 run alongside. Its just a dirt road open only to hikers.

Pros: Nice park close to the Meteor Crater
Cons: Middle of nowhere

Great Staff, easy to navigate far enough from the interstate so you don't really hear the noise.

Not very much on the exit so make sure to stock up before stopping on gas and food (there is a gas station at the exit but was expensive).

Highly recommend visiting the Meteor Crater

Pros: clean open spots
Cons: popularity may be weakening staff resolve

WiFi has gone quite weak and the spot we were assigned {"only 50A left"} was far from level

Pros: Location near Meteor Crater
Cons: None

We stayed here several days in March 2021. Even though its 20 miles to the nearest town in an hour and a half you can drive to many northern AZ sites.
Facilities are in very good condition. Its a desert and can be windy and dusty, but this place has the only shady trees for miles. We liked it.
